I'm a mere three days away from the longest vacation I've ever taken in my professional life. Alin and I are hopping on a plane and flying to Peru for 2 weeks and I can't wait.
We're first going to land in Lima, the capital of Peru, and spend 2 days lounging around and try to get the most out of it. We will then hop on a plane and fly to Cusco, the provincial capital of the Cusco district. We will spend three days enjoying all that Cusco has to offer while we acclimate to the higher altitudes. Hopefully we won't get overwhelmed from the difference.
5 days into our trip, and we'll start on the most important part of our trip, our trek to Machu Picchu.
Our 5 day hike will take us through villages, hot springs, cloud forests, the Amazonian jungle, and finally to the lost city. I seriously cannot wait. I realize it's going to be excruciating but I'm confident the beauty will be so overwhelming, it will be ingrained in our memories forever and ever.
Too bad I've got such complete madness going on at work. It really is a bad time for me to go on vacation, but I've found that, at Apple, there never really is a good time to take a break. :P
Okay, time for bed. Later.
