San Francisco Summers, Love Them AND Hate Them.

The one thing you can count on during the summers in San Francisco is the fog. Yes. Fog, nearly every day and every night. This is especially true where I live in the city. They call it the Sunset, what a cruel joke. Living in these parts, seeing the sun is a once a week occurrence.

That said, this neighborhood does have it's moments. The week I spent apartment hunting was beautiful. It was warm and the sky was electric blue and sunny. We get one or two weeks a year like that, I'm anxiously waiting.

Fortunately, not everywhere in this city is the same. Today, I went to Ocean Beach with Sophie with hopes of catching a sunset. Lucky for me, the weather decided to cooperate. I was greeted by the last few moments of a long summer day, with the sun slowly hiding behind distant clouds on the horizon.

Unfortunately, it was time to go home and get back to reality. I had a pile of laundry waiting for me and not enough time to do it. I'm counting the minutes before I have to run back across the street to move the mounds of clothes from one machine to another as I hope to dry everything before the lock me out for the night.

Almost time... here we go.
